Power In Faith/Hemisphere
In 2006, the principles of Hemisphere Entertainment formed Power In Faith LLC, a company that fulfills their dreams to concentrate on programming about which they are passionate. Power In Faith focuses on inspirational, faith-based programming with a message.
Power In Faith has developed and produced a number of faith-based films and programs, including a new TV drama series called Believers Among Us. The first four episodes continue to air on TBN, Sky Angel, Cornerstone Network, Faith TV, TCT Network, and Total Living Network. The series has won the prestigious Telly Award, the Aurora Award, the Davey Award, the Accolade Award of Excellence, and the Millennium Award.
Power In Faith has also produced three new faith-based feature films to be released in 2009, including Set Apart, which stars Richard Roundtree, John Schneider, and Jennifer O’Neill. Set Apart will be available at your favorite Christian store beginning September 22, 2009.
Other upcoming releases from Power In Faith include Closure: The Problem with Money, starring The CrossWise Players, and Becoming Jesse Tate, starring Amanda Waters and Bailey Ann Border.
The latest film from Power In Faith, Salvation Street, goes into production during the summer of 2009. It is a story of how one idea can change lives. Noah Davis is a pastor in a well-to-do suburban community … until one morning when he is called to open an urban mission. He uproots his family from their comfortable lives and begins working with the people he feels need him most.
Power In Faith Leadership Ralph E. Portillo (CEO and President)—With more than 20 years of directing and producing experience, Ralph Portillo has won awards at The New York Film Festival, Worldfest Houston, and the Cindy Awards. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America, and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Jamie Elliott (COO and Executive Vice President)—A successful producer and writer, Jamie Elliott is actively involved in development and production, while overseeing the operations of Power In Faith. As a producer, she has received awards at Houston Worldfest and The Santa Clarita International Film Festival. Her career in the film industry began as a casting director. She is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and Women In Film.
Brad Wilson (Vice President of Development and Production)—Formerly the head of Academy® Award-winning actor Robert Duvall’s production company for 11 years, Brad Wilson is an award-winning producer, including being the recipient of a Humanitas Certificate. His films have received awards from the Berlin Film Festival, The America Cinema Foundation, and The Chicago Film Critics Association. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
